There can be only one Splendid Splinter!

It's definitely The Ted. One of the very few legitimate .400 hitters in all of baseball history.
The pantheon of Sox greats goes like this
1: Ted Williams
2: Carl Yastrzemski
3: Debatable between a lot of guys including Rice, Evans, Foxx, Papi, Manny, and a whole lot of others

Yeah this is easy - Splendid Splinter. I would take Yaz second even though i think Foxx is a better player but split his career between franchises.

This is one of the rare polls that does not merit much debate. Not that its not worthwhile, there is just such a clear-cut winner.
I'd put Yaz second and then the door opens to many candidates for third. My judgement gets clouded by personal preference beyond this point.

Who wants to bet that some noob Red Sox bandwagoner comes in here, votes for manny and then puts up a huge fight about it.

Not unless west coast orange and black suddenly becomes a Red Sox fan.

Even though Yaz was a better fielder and had a great career I took Williams. That man would have excelled at the plate in any era and on any planet and his numbers are still baffling in today's hard hitting era.

Williams is a no brainer. I was surprised to NOT see Tris Speaker on the poll. He doesnt beat Williams but deserved (IMHO) to be a contender on the poll.
