Hooks Dauss played from 1912 to 1926, going 222-182 with a 3.30 career ERA. A seven-time 15 game winner and three-time 20 game winner, Dauss was not normally a league leader, however in 1914 he led the league in saves. He was often in the top ten in his league in wins, complete games, and innings pitched.
Statistically, Dauss is similar to two Hall of Famers: Waite Hoyt and Jesse Haines.
Also fairly noteworthy is he is Detroit's all-time leader in wins.
So, should Dauss be in the Hall of Fame?
