Joe Judge hit .298 with 2352 hits and 213 stolen bases in 20 seasons, mostly with Washington. A great defender whose fielding percentage was .993, Judge - who played first base - is 42nd all time in triples and 34th all time in sacrifice hits. He also set a bunch of defensive records, many of which have been broken. Statistically similar to Edd Roush, Judge got Hall of Fame votes six times, but never more than 15.
What do you think? Should Judge be in the Hall of Fame?

The Mark Grace of the 1930's. I'd take him on my team, but he's way, way back in the queue.

Let's see: George Kelly is a HOFer, and Joe Judge was a better player, so Joe Judge should go into the HOF.
That's the case for Joe Judge; he was a better player than his contemporary (Kelly) who IS in the HOF.
The problem with that is that Gil Hodges, Norm Case, Roy Sievers, Mo Vaughn, Jacques Fournier, Will Clark, Don Mattingly, and Boog Powell are NOT in the HOF. It's hard to make a case for Judge being better than ANY of those guys. Steve Garvey blows Judge away as a HOF candidate. And we aren't even getting close to mentioning Dick Allen.

One of the best defensive 1st basemen in the history of the game deserves at least a maybe in a poll like this. Offensively, he was consistent. A little more offense and he'd be over the hump for me.
