Finally Vidro is gone. Wlad needs AB as does Clement. Ibanez to DH?

Anyhow, Balentien is tonight's DH, batting seventh. Riggleman said there will be a rotation amongst the outfielders as to who will DH. Sometimes, Balentien, sometimes Reed and also Raul Ibanez. Riggleman said the DH thing won't happen a lot in Ibanez's case. Especially with him swinging the bat that he is right now. But he also mentioned that Ibanez has rarely had time off this year and that a DH stint here and there could give him a rest of sorts.

I was wondering why I didn't see Vidro's name (for other obvious reasons though I guess) on the scoreboard tonight. A good night to be at the game. :) Mariners fans are boring and annoying. Right before Lopez doubled to give the M's the lead for good, people were too busy to care about it and were more interested in starting the wave. Ugh. Also, dead quiet when we had the bases loaded once. I could hear the peanut guy 3 sections over.

At first glance the trade for Jose Vidro for Chris Snelling and Emiliano Fruto with the Nationals seemed like a bone head deal for sure. Snelling still gets injured and Fruto is young and showing signs of brilliance with his super sinker. It doesn't appear like the M's lost that much but I always pulled for Snelling and I liked Fruto's sinker. I always envisioned him as a late inning guy, who comes in and gets a few outs.

Chris Snelling is currently at Lehigh Valley of the International League. The Phillies (AAA) ball club. He's only had 4 ab's in 4 games with the big club. It's tough to crack the Philies lineup.

I believe Emiliano Fruto is currently with the Arizona Diamondbacks big club. When he was trade to the Nationals, in his first start of the season at triple A of the Nationals organization, he pitched a six or seven inning no hitter.
