1936 browns name change

when donald barnes purchased the browns from the ball estate in 1936 there was talk being bantered around that the browns would change their "nickname" from browns to...???

does any one know what that name was going to be or if even it got that far...?

It was put to a vote of the fans. Unfortunately, The Sporting News of December 24, 1936 did not mention what the other suggestions were -- or what multiple of 4:1 the vote consisted of.
