I coach a 10U little league all star team and we've been pretty successful this season, however, we consistently run into this situation where the team comes out for a tournament or game and looks tired, doesn't hustle, does a crappy pre-game warm up, and it takes a few innings for us to get it going.
We've tried all kinds of things to get the youngsters to show up ready to play, from early to bed the night before, to hollering, to NOT hollering, mixing up the routines etc., but nothing seems to be working.
We watch other teams come in and the players are READY and we coaches are most impressed.
Any suggestions or tips on how we can get our guys better prepared?
