The verdict among these guys, in general, appears to be probably (but maybe not) for Edgar Martinez, and highly likely for Ichiro Suzuki once he reaches ten years played.

Seriously, though neither one is close to an inner-circle guy, both would make fine additions to Cooperstown.

Probably seems like a stretch for Martinez. I say no more than 30% of the vote upon his first try.

I believe Edgar will get there someday.
Ichiro's a big star who's posted numbers that say "Why not?". While Ichiro is, IMO, overrated, he's still worthy of induction, and I have little doubt that he WILL go.

I agree. I'm also hoping that Ichiro gets as close to 3,000 hits as he can without losing the skills to make some people say "What happened to Ichiro? He was so good before and now he's not."
