Do you have to ask? I root for one and only one MLB team. Take a guess which one that is. :)
Although, I kind of like seeing the Yankees do well too. Don't root for them but I like seeing them win the AL East for a few reasons. I hate the Redsox, mainly because of their newly acquired fair weather fans. The second reason is because I find Yankee haters more delusional and stupid than any Yankee fan I've ever encountered.

Go to New York and that'll change.

oooh a goodie tenth post...
Cincinnati Reds my absolute favorite. I root for them no matter what.
Second choice: I like seeing the Red Sox do well but hardly ever keep track of them. Got to watch them lose to the Yanks on tv yesterday... that's a bummer... fair weather fans are no fun though... wait... does this make me a fair weather fan?

Well, my favorite teams from least to first:
Dodgers
Dodgers
Dodgers
Dodgers
Dodgers
Dodgers
Dodgers
Dodgers
Dodgers
Dodgers
Any questions? Someone once told me that there are other teams - I think they're a myth.
Seriously though, after the Dodgers I kinda like the Braves and Rays. I live in Georgia so it was kinda hard not to catch the fever in the 90s and I went to a Devil Rays game once and I think I was the only person rooting for them, so I always have rooted for them in the AL.
Someone should ask what teams people hate. That would just be a great discussion. Don't even get me started!

The Cincinnati Reds as long as Ken Griffey, Jr. is there.

My favorite is easily and wholeheartedly the Mets.
My second favorite is easily and wholeheartedly the Red Sox.
I have no third favorite. However, there are those I'd root for under certain circumstances, and those I'd never root for under any circumstances.

After careful consideration, I will go with the Seattle Mariners on this question.

I grew up a Phillies fan, during the late 70's and 80's when they last won the Series. I got out of baseball for a number of years, and when I got back into it in the mid-nineties I was living in Vancouver. This was when the Mariners had Griffey Jr. A-Rod, Edgar and the Big Unit. I became a huge fan when they made that miracle run in 95, and then beat the Yanks in 96. They have been my favourite team since then. However, as I've become much more of a fan of NL ball over the past 5 or 6 years I have begun to revert back to my old favourite team the Phillies. I am also a closet Rockies fan, and have been since Larry Walker went there in the mid-nineties. This took way to long to answer a simple question, but it needed some explanation.

Seattle beat the Yankees in 1995, not 1996.

I like the Milwaukee Brewers, of course, but aside from divison rivals Cubs and Cardinals, I really don't hate any teams. I'm a fan of baseball.

I've been to New York several times. In fact, one of my closest friends from college is a die hard Yankee fan and he's about the #1 person in the world I like to talk baseball with. Intelligent about the game and unbiased in his opinions. Let's put it this way, between all of the Yankee fans I've been around and all of the Yankee haters I've been around... I find the IQ to be much lower on the hater side of things. They say the most inane, ridiculous stuff I've ever laid eyes [or ears] on.

Personal experiences will always give people their opinions on fan bases. It happens all the time and doesn't always reflect reality. I think that Mariners fans have been the worst I've seen, but they probably aren't the worst in all reality.
As someone who has to deal with both sides on an everyday basis, I find them both equally ridiculous.

Woops, my bad. When I first read your post all I could hear in my head was the voice of George Costanza saying "WUTEVA!!". :)

Most Brewers fans I kmow dislike the Cardinals just becaue they usualy beat them (not so much this year), but there are no personal feelings. Every Brewers fan I know personaly, hates the Cubs with a lot of emotion. Is it the close proximity/jeolousy that makes them hate the Cubs so much?

I used to have a disliking for the Cards but the more I have been into contact with them (mostly here at BBF), the more I have come to respect the franchise and their fanbase.

That and just the fact that they are the cubs. I'm sure you understand. ;)

George Costanza also said "everybody's moving to Seattle! It's the pesto of cities!"
Lol.
