Let's say team A beats team B 11-10. Team A takes a 11-0 lead in the first three innings and removes its starting pitcher after four innings and an 11-0 lead. Team A uses one relief pitcher for each inning from the fifth through ninth innings, each of whom gives up two runs. As inconceivable as it seems, the pitcher who went four innings and yielded zero runs can't get the win, while one of the pitchers who went just one inning and gave up two runs gets the win.
Is it just me? Or is there something wrong with this picture?
