I am getting a new glove for next season, at Shortstop. Right now i am using a 11.75 in. mizuno glove. Is a 11.75 in. the right size for Short? Do you have any Recomendations?

I have found these 2 gloves are they good gloves? Are they okay to use for Short? They are both 11.75 in. Do you guys know any better sizes or gloves for Shortstop?

If you are already using an 11.75", then you should know whether or not it works for you. At shortstop, you need to be able to get the ball out of the pocket quick lots of times. If you often have a hard time getting the ball out with the 11.75", then try get a smaller glove with a more shallow pocket.
I play middle infield and I believe my glove is 11". I am going to get a bigger one next time though. Either 11.5" or 11.75".

I also play short, and i think the perfect size for short is an 11.5. 11.75-12 is more for 3rd base. Personally, i like rawlings. I have 2 HOH and a Primo. All great gloves.

I usually tell kids 11 to 11 1/4 for second and 11 1/4 to 11 1/2 for SS.

Are these all great gloves?
Is there anything better for the price?

11.75 is a bit big for a middle infielder. I recommend 11.25.

Last year as a 14u I used my 11.5 inch glove at short, but at the end of the year used my 11 inch glove and thought it was better for getting the ball in and out. Since it was a little small on the hand though, I decided on 11.25 inch glove. It fits perfectly and I would recommend it for SS. 11 inch for 2nd base, 11.5 for 3rd base.

I think generally, 11.75 is considered too big for middle infield. I think if you can work the bag with a glove that size is all that matters, but traditionally a SS uses a glove that ranges from 10.50 to 11.50 inches.

It's really whatever you like and feel comfortable with. I use a 12 inch glove at 3rd base, or maybe a 11.75 incher.

i would probably go with a modified trapeze 11.5" hoh...the rawlings pro200 4jbt is nice...the same one edgar renteria uses!

I would go with the HOH or Pro Prefered. I personally don't like wilson gloves. The HOH is all you need. The Pro Prefered is just an upgrade in leather. It is also a bit softer. As for webs, I either use an I web or a Modified Trape-Eze web. Both great webs.
