The Arizona Diamondbacks certainly don't get their fair share of national media exposure, but they will when the defending National League West champions are featured on the June 21 edition of This Week in Baseball.

TWIB headed west to the desert to catch up with the NL West-leading Diamondbacks. Right fielder Justin Upton, first baseman Conor Jackson, second baseman Orlando Hudson and catcher Chris Snyder all wore wireless microphones in a recent game to catch all the action and excitement, giving viewers an intimate look at the players not available while watching the broadcast.

"Because of that, we devote an entire act to these elements that reveal how much fun this club is," said James Potocki, TWIB's lead producer. "This is one of the most successful shoots we've ever had for the show with wiring players up."

Also featured on the show is an inside look at the D-backs' run to the 2007 NL West title. Players gave their thoughts on the 2007 season and talked about how the stakes have been raised in 2008 above just a division title.

"Last year when we did a show on this team, it was a club with a new look and a commitment to youth, and that they'd be taking their share of lumps as they figured themselves out," Potocki said. "Nobody thought it would click as fast as it did with them reeling off 90 wins and a trip to the 2007 NLCS."

In the "Baseball Is..." segment, TWIB pays tribute to D-backs icon Randy Johnson by looking at a retrospective of his career and all that he's done for the Diamondbacks organization, as he passed Roger Clemens for second on the career strikeouts list just weeks ago.

In Aquafina's "Make Your Body Happy" segment, country music star Trace Adkins and his connection to baseball is featured while also capturing a part of his performance at Chase Field on May 16. Adkins also supplies the track "Swing" for the great plays and bloopers of the week in "How 'Bout That."
