I haven't gotten to follow the Diamondbacks this season like I did last year but what is up with Justin Upton? I checked in early May and he was absolutely tearing it up. Then he just sort of started stinking and isn't playing as productively as he could be. Is he just in a big funk, is the team's overall hitting woes just contagious or is he hurt? I'm a big fan of the guy and I think he's going to be a hell of a player, all-star quality talent. I just want an explanation for his struggles. Maybe this team needs a new hitting coach or something!

Justin has been in a bad slump, no question about it. :ughh
He was dealing with flu like symptoms earlier in June, but no injuries I'm aware of. But remember, Upton is only 20, and still learning/developing and as such will have ups and downs. I'm sure he'll break out of this slump soon.

Yeah, he definitely should break out of this slump soon. His mechanics to me offensively are off the charts. He's still a little raw but he's shown signs of greatness in the field and at the plate.

He started the season on fire. Maybe he needs more time in the minors. The guy is still only 20 years old.

The KC announcers in the recent series with the D'Backs were saying that the scouting report on Upton was to throw nothing but breaking balls. They seemed to have success with it against him.

The guy is 20. The league has obviously made some adjustments against him and now it is his turn to adjust as well. I think that in 3 years or so he will be one of the best players in baseball.

Whole team has cooled off with the bats.
