The 1918 Sox jumped out at me as a WS winner on this list, but of course the loser on that series didn't hit one, either, and someone had to win (same in 1905, 1906 and 1907). the dead ball era teams don't surprise me , but did any of the more rcent teams win the series despite not hitting a homerun?

I don't think so. The 1946 Cardinals won with just 1 HR (Slaughter) in the series.
