I have heard of three different splitter grips and I am wondering which works the best and gives the most movement
1. splitting the fingers at the two seam grip
2. splitting the fingers at the horseshoe where it is a U
3. splitting the fingers at the upside down horseshoe where it is an upside down U
I am trying to develop a pitcher so I dont have to use the curve as much for an out pitch. Right now I throw a cutter/4 seam, change and curve

Then you have PLENTY of pitches. A splitter is VERY hard on the elbow. Think about it, the pitchers you mainly see throwing splitters are the "OLD" guys - not the rookies. If you want another pitch to compensate your curveball, I'd say get better at throwing the nastiest pitch in the game - the change-up.
And you don't "have to use the curveball for an out pitch", your "out pitch" should be YOUR best pitch.

i grip it from #2 but ill throw a splitter rarely because of the stress it causes, i mostly pitch sinkers instead of splitters

Here are a bunch of grips on Steven Ellis' site. Some good visuals and info here.

grip the ball like a two seam, then move your middle and index finger a little closer (the fingers off the seams causes more break) and your thumb will be moved under the ball ( your fingers should be in like a 12-6 grip ) if i could find my camera id show you a picture
