Has no related skills since you can cheat it by moving through the sensor quick and its not completely accurate. I guess it could be ok for timing but its definately more of a fun thing than skill work.

I second or third that, it will mess your timing up. We had a kid on our team that was a solid hitter until he got the wii baseball. It took his dad a couple weeks to realize what was going on. It took about a week before he got his swing back after his father banned him from playing the wii baseball. SERIOUSLY!!

Perhaps just flick your wrist to swing? Or maybe don't use your actual swing when doing it?

My swing didn't have any adverse effects from playing the Wii.
