Haha thats a joke I hope my friend at nebraska faced him that would be crazy. I saw a little kid taking lessons on both sides and I guess a kid at my college a few years ago could do that but I've never seen it at that old. I don't know if its gonna be huge though unless he goes over 90's right handed. If he threw like 92 lefty and mid to high 80s righty it would be tight but unless hes sick left handed at like 85-90 I don't think it will do him much good pro wise.

Jake, That's right, you saw him do it at my summer camp 2 years ago. He won lots of bets in college with that skill as well.
Before his shoulder injury he was throwing 83-85 from his crouch with his right hand, but when he would pitch he could throw high 70's with his left.
It is real freaky to watch, because there is no hint in his lefty throw that he is not a lefty.
Actually when he plays pick-up football he is usually a QB and he always plays QB as a lefty.
I can assure you he did not get that from me!!

I think it could. Imagine having two good pitchers in one. You have a good right hander and a good 3/4 throwing lefty. He could pitch righty then lefty on alternate days. Two guys in one. That is very neat.
There is a rumor that Zambrano throws lefty for the cubs BP before they face a lefty (unless he is pitching that day obviously). I heard he throws left 80 mph.

I think this skill when taken serious will be the next big leap in the game. Can you imagine a pro pitcher that can effectively pitch both ways?

I've heard stories from back in the "old days" (1910's-earlier) of it being favorable for a pitcher to have this skill, as when one arm got tired/sore, he would simply "switch" to the other. :crazy

Grew up with a guy who pitched at the high school level both ways. He later went on to quarterback at UNC during the 80's. My son saw a story on ESPN of a college kid with a custom made glove to catch with either hand. He could switch arms without switching gloves. Got my son interested so we got a LHT glove and he started practicing. Kids can learn to switch hit pretty quick... why not throw?
From what I have read, Victor Martinez can throw 75 MPH left-handed.

My son and I just had our first weak hand throwing practice today and boy do we suck :cry:
