Why are the "High Payrollians" just the Yankees and Red Sox? Shouldn't it be the highest paid players?

If you made one of the chicagoans, they would crush both teams.

Team B would win now but team A would win in 10 years when most of team B is over 40 or even 50.

I do get what your trying to say by this but some things need to be pointed out. Youkilis is getting $3 million this year after $424,500 last year. Ellsbury is making $406,000. And Javier Lopez is making $840,000.

But, more importantly than all of that, the Red Sox have the 4th highest payroll in baseball this year, the list is Yankees, Mets, Tigers then Red Sox. A title like "the rivals" would be much more accurate.
