My mom found an old babe ruth pin/button in her mother attic. I searched ebay and google and couldn't find any info on this piece. It's basically a button or pin but on the back it has a little game with controls on the side to change Runs, strikes, innings, balls etc. Its does look old and original and on the side I believe it says Papieian Novelty CO., Chicago . I can't tell what the first word is though. Papieian? Bapieian? Babieian? Anyway I found this site while googling it and figure I'd ask if you guys are familiar with this piece or could point me in the right direction, im not looking to sell it so please no offers.
Thank you

If you could put a picture or two up it might help out, maybe we can figure out what it says.

Besides, I'm curious as to what it looks like:think:

It's probably Parisian Novelty Co.

How do I post pics?

Hit "reply" than scroll down somewhat, and you'll either "attach" or "attachments". The rest is easy. :)

You've got a 1935 Babe Ruth Quaker Oats Celluloid Scorer.
There is also a version with a Yankees cap which I believe is worth more...not to mention if it still had the original strap too.

Here's a link to one that sold at a Mastro Auction in Oct.2007

Cheers! ~B

Not a button or Pin......

Your 1935 Quaker Oats Scorekeeper is fairly common. There are 2 versions, one with "NY" (Yankees) on his hat and the other with "B" (Boston Braves). The "B" version is very common, the "NY" version is rare. Ive owned about 10-12 of the "B" ones over the years and only 2 of the "NY" ones. The best ones will still have a leather watch fob strap attached to the top. Many will also be found with the top part broken off and the dials froze up too.

Yours is worth about $35-$50. They are on eBay all the time.
