TPX Top 96?

I just got an email from a coach inviting me to a Top 96 camp in August, taking place in Illinois. I have no idea how this coach (Douglas Henson) got my name or anything. I know very little about this? Is it worth it? What should i know?

If you've ever been to a baseball camp chances are your information was sold. That gets you on mailing lists. TPX 96 is for showcase for all levels of college ball. Check out their website.

Is it good quality... I've heard of camps that are "supposed" to be legit that end up being no more than coaches sitting around waiting to collect their cheques at the end of the day.

Go to their site. See who has attended in the past. The list ranges from programs that go to the CWS (i.e. Clemson) to Nowhere State and everything in between.

I got the same E-mail, what showcases have you been to in the last year, and what summer team are you on?

I play Ottawa Knights 16U... never been to a showcase. Lots of tournies though.

Alright, I think they got my info from either a PBR showcase i went to in September or Top Tier. I'm asked my coach, and he hasn't responded yet.

My son gets invited to a lot of events. I'm guessing the local governing body of USSSA sold the mailing list.
