i was interested in hearing about, or seeing some pictures of anything from old ballparks that were in any way brough to a new stadium and used at them, pictures would be awesome.
also, since it falls into a similar catagory, i had another question for everyone, if you could take features of any old stadium and incorporate it into a new stadium (after modernizing it of course), what features would you take? for me, i like how braves field's infield grandstand roof was stopped short and the seats in the outfield grandstands were open, very unique, and i think it would look great in a modern day stadium if done correctly.

Does turning county stadium into a little league replica of miller park count?

The Cardinals moved home plate from old Sportsman's Park to Busch Stadium when it opened in 1966. I don't know if they repeated this step when they moved in to the new Busch Stadium in 2005.
Home plate from Crosley was moved to Riverfront Stadium in Cincy. Not sure if it was moved to GAP, or not.

- Home plate from Candlestick was airlifted by the CHP to AT&T (nee Pac Bell) Park.
- A replica of the frieze at Yankee Stadium, though technically it's not the original.

The White Sox dug up the entire infield from Comiskey Park and moved the dirt over to the new Comiskey. I cannot call it U.S. Cellular Field.

I heard, and this may be an urban legend, that the reason the White Sox did this was because so many people had their ashes scattered at Old Comisky Park.

the right field grandstand and former ticket office are now used by BU. the grandstand (not sure if its the original, but one exits in the exact location as the original) is there and the former ticket office houses BUPD and a day care center

Rumors are that the original flagpole from Metropolitan Stadium, although never was placed at the Metrodome, will be placed at the new Twins' ballpark.

Although I don't have pictures, the home plate at Petco Park is the same used at Qualcomm Stadium. At the Q's final game, part of the closing ceremonies included a few Marines and then-Mayor Dick Murphy digging up home plate, driving it downtown, and "installing it" at Petco as the crowd at Qualcomm watched on the jumbotron.

How about several pieces of Old Yankee Stadium incorporated into New Yankee Stadium?

Do you have any suggestions? I think they should bring over the black and yellow scoreboard from the post-renovated stadium over to the new one. The one that shows the scoring of all nine innings, and the clock that is famously showed during the 2001 WS when Derek Jeter became Mr. October.

You mean Mr. November?
It would be great to install it into the outside wall facing inward and be linked to the new one to reflect the current score while also being a static display...

Funny.
For the sake of clarification, the Padres had a winning record their first 4 seasons in Petco Park. They had never had a winning record for 4 consecutive seasons in franchise history. This is the first bad season they've had since moving out of Qualcomm Stadium. Some teams show great potential during a season then stage monumental collapses at the end, while others will just stink at the beginning so as not to get the hopes of its fan base up only to shatter them at the very end.

I am well aware of their dominant 82-80 Western Division flag a few years ago, and their near miss at the playoffs last year.

When Seals Stadium was demolished in SF, the light racks and seats were trucked up 1-5 and installed in Cheney Stadium in Tacoma.

IIRC, they originally brought only one of the foul poles (RF) from Memorial stadium, along with home plate. The first LF foul pole at Camden Yards was new. The Memorial Stadium one replaced it after the (thankfully) brief experiment with moving home plate backwards to deepen the park.

Part of the basketball court from the Minneapolis Armory (former home of the Lakers) will be used as the flooring in one of the bars at the new Twins park.

Thats cool, you wouldn't think they would still have the floor from a team that played there almost 40 years ago. Did the timberwolves play there or something?

The Timberwolves played at the Metrodome briefly before the Target Center (yuck) was completed. The Minneapolis Armory is currently being used as a parking lot. Lots of Twins fans park here and then walk to the dome. It's kinda random that they'd use the old basketball floor in part of a ballpark, but it could be a nice touch.

Yep, and despite it being a parking lot on the inside, it still looks pretty cool.

There was also plans to bring the Diamondvision video board from Memorial Stadium to OPACY, but they decided against it and had a brand new Dakotatronics board installed instead.
And now, 16 years later, that Dakotatronics board has been replaced as well.

Small points, but it was called the right field pavillion (not grandstand) and the so-called ticket offices were actually the Boston Braves executive offices

It was a long time ago, but the infield sod was dug up at Huntington Avenue Grounds and replanted at Fenway Park when it opened in 1912 ... does that count?

Some of the bricks from Milwaukee County Stadium were saved and put in the wall behind the Mercedes-Benz picnic area in right field at Miller Park.
