montreal expos planed stadiums

i was looking at the concepts for the expos future stadiums from 1998 and 2000 at www.stadiumpage.com and i can say the 1998 plan is so nice, with the brick, and intimate feeling, and the montreal skyline dominating the view. then theres the 2000 plan that looks really bad and was no surprise it wasnt going to be built. i seen the few pictures at that website, but is there any more pics out there? discuss how you felt about the plans?

I think the Labatt Park idea was great (the modern later one). It would have looked different from anything else that's being built these days, finally a refreshing change from the red brick that I'm really getting tired of. It's nothing special but the design looked intimate enough and on a small enough scale even without red brick and green seats

i really wish that whoever ran that site would understand the advantages of thumbnails, or maybe menus. its such a hard site to navigate i usually just give up

Such a shame. This would have been a wonderful little park.

EDIT: Ulp! I almost forgot to add this rendering of the first, more traditional Labatt Park proposal for comparison.

Wow, I can't believe I missed that thread. I've never seen the model of the first Labatt Park in such detail before. I did manage to save a few pictures of the second model, although they're of far lesser quality.
