Will we see a trade for Brandon Inge?

IMHO, Inge is overvalued. A below-average OBP and a propensity to strike out often doesn't make him very attractive to my way of thinking. Other folks have also mentioned Joe Crede; if people consider Inge comparable to Garciaparra, then I would see Crede as a definite step backward.
I don't see why everyone backing the Dodgers cannot simply relax for a bit and give Nomar a chance. Inge is not an improvement over Garciaparra. Abreu, when healthy, is a very solid back-up; Delwyn Young rakes and I think he can play 3B if needed.
I see LaRoche as a guy who has been, and will continue to be, plagued by injuries. Not by any fault of his own, it's just the way it's been going. The surgery to repair his thumb will involve the use of anchor sutures, which are probably close to the same thing that was used to repair his labral tear. Any time this method is used, flexibility and strength are always tough to regain, especially in a hurry. I think that a return after only 8 weeks is a pretty generous estimation, with 10 weeks being more realistic. I really like LaRoche, his personality around his teammates and the fans, and especially the way he plays the game. He reminds me a bit of a modern-day Chris Sabo! I wish him a successful surgery and a healthy recovery. If he can rehab from a labral tear then he can certainly make it back from this injury as well.

Yeah, Inge is worthless. If this guy had a brain, he'd be a catcher. His #s at catcher are not bad, but at 3B, very mediocre.
Slugger is just hoping the Tigers could unload Inge on us for one of our good young players. ;)

I was actually thinking about Scott Proctor.
