I have a clip of dan haren playing catch and I want some of the pitchers here to watch how he throws with his hips then the arm comes around. The hips fire then the arm comes around and throws the ball. Look how he rotates into landing with his back hip.

You know nothing about the body... many people have told you this before...

One coud definately say that hips and legs are the same link... the same thing...one piece,
Anatomicaly they are 2 seperate pieces,
But I notice in sports terminalogy the hips and trunk are used to discribe the same areas.

I think that legs support with balance, but they have a fundamental role about generating power, striding forward with correct timing and velocity, if you don't use your legs the proper way you're gonna loose a lot of velocity and control...the power that is generated into your legs gets delivered into your arm through separation, and hips-shoulders rotation...
using the word "support" sounds like legs have a passive role in pitching...

idk why everyone says dont use your legs when you throw, when I push off the rubber and get lower, I throw harder, about 3 mph harder.

Legs are absolutely a huge part of pitching. If you have a sprained ankle and can't push off well, can you still throw decent, sure. The point is, you'll be putting added strain on the arm. In order to keep the same velocity/performance, something has to make up for it. In the long run, the arm will suffer.

So you had someone clock you when you push and when you don't push?

no, but I can tell, my coach can tell, and my catcher tells me.
