Bat swing weight

Do you guys think bat swing weights are important? Not the static weight, but the dynamic weight or the center of gravity on the bat. I ask because I hear people ask if a bat is end loaded or balanced, but I dont realy see bat companies advertise this. I think this info would help me on deciding to buy a bat or comparing which bats hit the furthest. In golf, swing weights are very important and it is even used in tennis rackets.
