"I dominated that era and I did it clean," Pedro Martinez said upon his arrival at Mets camp Thursday. "I can stand by my numbers and I can be proud of them. I have a small frame and when I hurt all I could do was take a couple of Aleve or Advil, a cup of coffee and a little mango and an egg -- and let it go!"

Now, as a Yankee fan, I have hated the cocky Pedro for years. But I have to say, not only is he right, but I think it's great he's taking a stand for himself, and I think he is speaking on behalf of all players who were clean during that time.

Agreed. While it's hard to prove that anyone is clean, It's hard to take adjust someone stats like Pedro's. Hopefully he isn't underrated in the future when people look back at his numbers. He's a historically great pitcher.

If Pedro is clean, and I want to believe that he is, then he could arguably be one of the greatest pitchers of all-time, and most certainly of this Steroid plagued era (post 1990).
