My vote is going for Bob Howry. I'd like Marmol to have another year at setup to acclimate into big league play before he takes on the tough job, and I'm concerned that Wood isn't durable enough to pitch every day.

Kerry Wood is to good of a starter to put in the Bullpen.

He's going to be in the bullpen no matter what. He can't stay healthy starting.
I went ahead and went with Marmol, but Wood is another very good choice that I could see working, and I don't know if I want to lose Marmol for the setup man. It's a very difficult choice.

Marmol had a career year last year, theres no chance hes gonna be as shutdown as he was last year. not saying hes gonna totally fall off. i voted Howry because i want to see how long Wood can go with out being hurt this year. if Howry starts getting rocked and Woods stays healthy for about 3 months while pitching reguraly then i say u give Wood the job. but for opening day howry for sure.

Wood always has that one bad inning when he starts, it seems. I'd like to see him as a closer, but I hope the one inning he gives us isn't that bad inning.

Why is Wuertz an option? And more importantly...who voted for him? I like him as a middle reliever. He was great at stranding runners last year. I said Marmol. I found faults with all 3, and MArmol is really the only one Id like to see.

It was a joke. Everyone was calling for him to be the closer in early May last year. I figured I'd throw him in the mix.
