I can just imagine the Tigers and Indians hitters now, rubbing their hands with glee.

The first thing that came into my mind was that he discovered he had a twin brother.*
Then I realized what it was talking about. Is he really that bad? I remember him being alright with the Expos, Nationals, and even with the D'Backs.
*I read it at 3 AM after a full day of cramming for a mid-term.

I thought the exact same thing, and coincidentally it was because I was up until 3 am doing a proof set for Fundamentals of Mathematics.

I think it's a good pick-up for the Twins. Hernandez will provide some veteran leadership for a young staff while pitching his 200 innings.
Glad to see him out of the NL West.

I figured that if El Duque was his half-brother, that modern science had somehow made him his twin. Heck, whenever I see the word "Twins" for baseball, I think of one edible (but likely fattening) treat:

Livan Hernandez's stats (http://www.baseball-reference.com/h/hernali01.shtml)
Anyway, from 2005-07, his ERA has jumped from 3.98 to 4.93, and his K total has dropped from 147 to 90 now. I don't think he'll be able to give Minnesota anything like what a certain feared southpaw used to deliver pretty consistently.
