Most HOF Votes in 2013

Provided the following 4 players don't play again, they'll all be elligible for the 2013 election.

Craig Biggio, Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, and Sammy Sosa

I had a discussion with a friend at work as to which of the 4 would be the leading vote getter their first year of elligibility.

Who do you think will get the most votes?

--Hard to predict where the thinking on steroids will have gone 5 years from now and Biggio is the only one who doesn't have that hanging over his head (at least not to any significant extent). Sosa is unlikley to be first ballot in this crowd even if steroids are completely ignored. Bonds and Clemens should be unanimous if not for steroid questions (maybe even with them). Of course, some knucklehead(s) would have left them off anyway:noidea.

I say Sosa.

No one will vote for juicers, as was evident with McGwire and Canseco. That takes out Clemens and Bonds.

Shamefully, most of the hall of fame voters have some serious biases. They include:

-voting in a RIDICULOUS amount of Yankees
-voting for players with lots of HR
-voting for players with lots of Wins(regardless of their amount of losses...)
-etc.

I've bolded the reason Sosa will get more votes than Biggio.

Even though Biggio was a much more balanced player, Sammy Sosa hit balls out of the park- and that seems to be all the voters care about.

I still have no doubt that all 4 will get in on their first ballots...

Despite not appearing in the Mitchell report, Sammy Sosa arguably has more of a steroid problem than anybody in the history of baseball... at least Bonds, McGwire, and Clemens were good players before they started using steroids. Sosa's entire career was based on them.
