MILWAUKEE -- Brewers pitchers and catchers will not formally report to Spring Training for two weeks, but that doesn't mean Maryvale Baseball Park has sat dormant.
More than 40 of the organization's prospects are in the middle of the second half of a two-part development camp aimed at giving them a head start on 2008. Part 1, which took place from Nov. 1 to Dec. 16, focused extensively on conditioning and also included what the club called off-the-field "life lessons." Part 2 began Jan. 21, and has a heavier focus on baseball activities.
