Hey there, bright folk.

I'm looking for a good baseball simulator to spit out the results of my all-time draft, and I was hoping I could get some good suggestions from ya'll.

I'm hoping to not need to spend too much money, and it would be nice if it was available online, but please don't limit your suggestions only to cheap and easy.

Thanks!

Out of the Park Baseball is my personal favorite, because it's available for Mac. It requires a bit of work, but I can usually get all the players I want in it and it generally gives fairly realistic results, though there are usually a few outliers (Mariano Rivera once had a 0.38 ERA). It costs $34.99.

Diamond Mind Baseball is probably the best for historical replay, though I don't know if you can get players from all eras in it. It costs 49.99 for the game and probably more for the disk with all the greatest players.

Baseball Mogul is the cheapest, but also the least accurate. I don't know how to get players from all different eras playing in one year, something that's relatively easy to do in OOTP or DMB. It costs 19.99.

SBS Baseball (SBS-Baseball.com). It`s free and has all the seasons plus
many minor league seasons.

Does it allow you to manipulate rosters? I'm looking for a sim that lets me play the teams assembled in an all-time draft against eachother.

It LOOKs like Out of the Park is going to give me the most use on a low budget.

I still have time to research, though, so please continue to pour in advice, and thanks to those who already have.

--OOTP has some nice features and does have much cost beyond the inital purchase. DMB will give you more relaistic results though. The company hasn't created alot fo really old seasons, but individual gamers have filled in the gaps - and those seasons are available free on line (you do have to have the program to make them function though). I could help you out with some seasons from my own library as well.

Whatifsports.com is awesome if you have 24 people.

With 30 though, you should try either OOTP or Baseball Mogul 2008.

If you have exactly 12 or 24, I prefer Diamond Mind Online at www.imaginesports.com over WIS. 20 bucks per person, really accurate results. Career mode is far better than WIS's.

SBS uses text file rosters which you can arrange
any way you want.
