I had one success today and one failure from former Reds. Eddie Erautt sent a old baseball card of his and autographed it. However the card was in very bad shape. It was creased and the edges were badly crinkled. Chuck Kress sent me his career statistics of his entire professional career that was a copy. No sig...basically a waste of a stamp.

Sadly every return that I have seen is either a "return to sender" marked on the envelope, OR he will return your cards and give you a PRE-printed autograph on a HOF postcard.

But don't let that discourage you, just browse around this section of the site and you'll see tons of requests from past and present MLB players.

I am thinking about trying to get all the living players who played on Brooklyn and the NY Giants in 1951.

Awesome project! Tell ya what: All of the players that you listed are EXCELLENT TTM signers (except Yount of course). (You didn't mention the sign stealing in your letter to Yvars did you??) Al Worthington is a great signer too! He will also send you some religious material. He is a devout Christian and some of the information that he sent were things that I was unaware of during his career. It is very interesting to read.

Harrell is right up my alley as a FMR Red Sox. Dom DiMaggio and Narleski are both part of the "family" players...Dom, brother of Joe and Vince and Ray son of Bill and dad of Steve. Awesome stuff!!! To have Mossi and Narlesi sign the photo each is something special.
The one that intrigues me the most is Engle. What did you send her...was it a card, photo, something you made? I should have her addresss in Miesleman...but she is too good to pass up...Keep up the good work. I enjoy your posts and your variety.

Yeah, I like to mix things up whenever I send out a batch of requests. As far as Eleanor Engle goes I sent her a reprint card from the 1953 Topps Archives set. It's card # 332. She does charge $5 per sig though (just a friendly FYI). Her address IS NOT in Harvey's newest book. If you would like it pm me and I can give it to you as I jotted it down on my notepad. :)

I don't usually scan my returns. But, look at the Auto's. Beside the fact the 83's auto is faded a little. (Moist Envelope). Is it me or do they appear different?:noidea

About a week ago I sent a book titled, "How to snag major league baseballs" (1999, out of print) to author Zack Hample. It came in today with a very nice autograph. I've sent to him before and he's very good about signing considering how busy he is. To me, this is a GREAT TTM success. :hyper:
