Not usually. Some players will have some stock cards, but I'd say the odds would be overwhelmingly against you. At the very least, include an index card for the person.

Also, if you need a card of a player, you might want to try asking for help in the "trading" section on this site. Especially if a player is a common, there's usually someone who has a card of the player they're willing to part with to help you out.

I got the following idea from somebody on this site (I think it might have been Dalkowski).

I was at the National Card show in Cleveland this past summer and Mike Hargrove was signing and it was just about the end of his shift. I didn't have any cards on me so I pulled a dollar bill out of my wallet and had him sign that. I know that his autograph will always be worth a dollar. ;)

I'll probably do it again sometime if I ever meet somebody in person and don't have a card for them. Not sure how will it will work TTM though.

If I am trying to get an auto of some obscure player, I will mail them a letter asking them questions about their career. There was one player that was with the Red Sox in 1940 and 1941. I mailed him a letter and he responded with a four page handwritten letter. It was quite a surprise.
