I have a large 1957 Brooklyn Dodger poster signed by a few players on there, some of which are deceased. I do not feel safe sending it through the mail (plus it's a REAL hassle). What are your thoughts about sending out stickers to the players that I do not have to have them sign and then place the stickers on the poster?
Will the glue from the stickers affect the poster in the long run or fall off? What are your suggestions?
Is there a special type of sticker that I should use? Should I use a clear or a white sticker? Are the ones that the card companies use available in stores?

What harm will it do to send the stickers to the retired ball players? Do you have the measurements of these stickers?

I haven't looked into the stickers yet, I was hoping someone on here would know what the ones that the card companies use and what the long term adhesiveness of the stickers are.

Is the poster vintage to 1957?
If so Id think twice about adding new stickers to a vintage piece.
Its a different story if the poster is fairly modern and of little value by itself, with all the value being in the sigs.
Another thing would be to attach/display the additional sigs in a non permanent way.
I have a 2003 WS Champions Florida Marlins poster signed by a few of the players, and I would never consider sending it TTM, too risky; and I'll consider the stickers even less, how good would they look?? Wouldnt it look tacky?? Plus the glue would definitely mess up the poster.
