I have an opportunity to acquire Marrero's signature for $20. Is this a good price for Marrero? How hard is his autograph to come by being that he lives in Cuba?

I don't know much about Mr. Marrero or his signing habits, but I do see much cheaper prices on eBay.

$20 via? TTM? Or a show?

The person is meeting with him in person in Cuba. He can't leave Cuba (Marrero).
I would pay it, but I am biased because I'm Cuban. If you are sure about the authenticity of the autograph, I'd be willing to buy one from you, let me know.

Oh yeah, that's right.
I'd pay for it. You'd probably be the only one with his auto.
I've heard about "baseball tours" to Cuba, and one of the attractions is a visit with Connie.

I believe Marrero is in his mid 90s, and supposedly still chomping on his cigar.

I am probably the one who quoted the $20 for Marrero's autograph. I visit Cuba and Marrero often and he has signed photos and baseballs for me. I sell these and give all the proceeds to Marrero, who lives on a Cuban pension of about $7 per month. He played the requisite 5-years in the major leagues, but dropped out of the then-optional pension plan in 1951 because, at 40, he didn't think he would last 5 years in the major leagues.
As one reader said, Marrero is almos 97, the fifth oldest surviving major leaguer. I have no idea what is signature is worth but do know that it is hard to obtain and he nees the money.
Incidently, Marrero had unsuccessful eye surgery in July of last year and has very poor sight. He can no longer sign baseballs and his signature displays evidence of his great age.
