is the bat you are buying for tee work/batting practice or for in game use?
I would buy the same weight bat for tee work and a high end bat for in game
synergy bat by easton for tee work ,,,, around $200

read the specs. on link and pick your in game bat. The only thing I could find different was Opti-Flex composite handle technology provides handle flex 2 times greater than aluminum. Note: it says the same thing on a high end easton bat (Easton BST8 Stealth CNT -3 Adult Baseball Bat ) except it says 3 times greater. Well for the close to $200 difference I went with the Synergy easton and as my son grows I told him just to hit that bat for batting practice and real game. If he tries a bat out he likes I would get it for him. Oh plus he just went up to the Big field and will be growing so (he is swinging a 31/28 now). I am not going to pay close to $400 a per year on one bat till his senior year.
IMHO the last thing I want to do is spend close to $390 on a bat every one else on the team will want to swing/try out while you are in the batting cage. Oh and yes I have sat and watched during batting practice of $400 bats being tossed around and clanging.
Not trying to sound cheap but the first time you see someone just miss hitting a post or clanging your $400 dollar bat the first thing you are afraid of is dents. Some people just don't care and accidents do happen.
Go for inexpensive for batting practice and if you got the extra money to lay out Easton BST8 Stealth CNT -3 or Louisville Slugger TPX Exogrid -3
I was reading the new Little league rules and it looks like senior league will have to use -3 bats this year. I have a feeling there will be a run on bats this year.
