I've got a Hanley Ramirez autograph limited rookie card. I was wondering if it was better to hold on to it for a few years, many years or to try and sell it to a dealer asap. Any advice would be much appreciated.

My thoughts: Keep it. His "stock" is bound to rise as he is a young star just getting started. :)

Agreed...the price has to continue going up!

Active players are always tricky...the value of the card depends a lot on their play on the field, the quality of the team they play for (to some degree) and their behavior off the field.

If dealers are anything like they were when I was still actively hitting card shows and shops, you'd be lucky to get 25% of what it's worth. eBay would be your best bet if you decide to go down that route.

The card shop I go to gives 30% of the high book value if your selling cards for $$$, but if you trade it in for something you'll get more value out of it. So, ebay would definitely be your best bet if you wanted to sell, but IMO I would keep the card. Hanley has a bright future and that card should continue to go up in value.
