rare yankee stadium seat value

my buddy sold me a seat from yankee stadium i guess when they redid it. the rain check sticker on the seat says 1982. what would something like this be worth i know nothing of baseball. someone help me out please.

Steiner Sports says it's worth around $2,000.
Back in 1994 the Yanks sold 100 sets of 3 seats (per set)for $1,500. So figure $500 per seat. It depends what the exact condition is of the seat.

If that's all you have it's not a complete seat, just a seat back from after the 1973 renovation. I can't see that it's value is very high.

I would also say quite frankly that it probably was stolen by somebody back in 1982 and was part of their loot.
