If the tilt is in the direction I'm imagining then I agree it's good, especially for breaking pitches. At the facility we over-emphasize tilt on our curveball and screwballs to keep our drive line straight for optimal angle and spin axis.

I agree. Anything that helps keep your drive line straight will maximize your velocity.

Steve Ellis is a former professional pitcher who played in the Minors. I do not believe he made it to the Majors. This in itself however, means nothing.
