I really need a new fielding glove. And seeing as Christmas is right around the corner, I was wondering what brand of glove you would suggest. And yes I know its all about the way it feels on me, but I want to know what brands are reliable and will last a while. Thanks!

I was gonna say Rawlings too. I have been using Rawlings for over 30 years  and try to only get the same for my kids. I haven't got either of them one of the highest quality ones yet, maybe when they get to HS if they are still playing (which hopefully they will be).
Although, I did buy my DD a Nike fastpitch Catcher's mitt that she liked a couple years ago, and it's turned out to be a good glove.

Its all in how you market a product and here is a perfect example. Maybe there is a player agent 800 number embossed on the inside of the glove.

I am sure it is a good glove (after all it a Primo), but it would seem to me that there are custom made glove that are less expensive with the same amount of quality

I've never liked Mizuno gloves. I also don't like Nokona nor Akadema. I do like the higher end pro preferred Rawlings, Wilson A2000 and A2K and Glovesmith's customs.

Cannot remember the person who played on Fantasy Island many year ago who did a car commercial and talked about the finest Corinthian leather seats in the car. Not selling the car just the seats......lol.. marketing

When purchasing a new glove, be sure to check the expiration date....Lots of recalls because of the E. coli Virus.

There is no such thing as Corinthian Leather, the ad agency guys made it up to go with the name of the car they were selling, the Chrysler Cordoba. The spokes person was Ricardo Montalban. I like him when he played Khan the genetically enhanced superior human being in Star Trek II the Wrath of Khan.

Ricardo Montalban, yea he was the man back than selling to the back than what I thought was the older crowd. Maybe I could be a spokes man to sell the Primo glove, I will come up with a good ad for Primo glove and put it in this thread if I can find the time after Yeti batting practice, Oh thanks for a super time waster Lady_Knights

I just bought a Wilson A2K model 1796. It is a very nice mitt, but it is expensive. My wife is still telling me it was too much.

I got lucky my sons travel team had their Wilson sales rep at practice, and I got his demo model for $150. My wife still thinks its too much.

Always choose a glove that feels good to you it is a personal choice.
I own Rawlings, Nike, Wilson and Mizuno. I don't have anything bad to say about any brand. I like all of the brands listed.
Most important feature is get the proper size. A 13" mitt is not made for shortstop.

I have Glovesmith Cuatom Elites and think they are exceptional. I also have a Mizuno Custom Calssic Pro and think that this outfield glove is the best outfield glove for the money. GCC77 model with the Ichiro web. Just my findings. Don't think you need to spend more than $200 for a first rate glove.
