I just received two printing plates in the mail. 1998 Pacific Scott Rolen and Matt Williams. Obviously they aren't very valuable as I got them together on eBay for about $11 together. But what's strange is they are the plates for the backs of the cards. I'm virtually certain they were not released in packs as the dealer bought a large collection of the plates from a Nationals and Sun Times Show.
I'm just wondering how often plates like these, which weren't released in packs find their way to the market.
