Knowing what we all know nowadays with the popularity of autographs, game used inserts, and amazing card technology....wouldn't it be cool to see:

-Marylin Monroe card, signature is a bright red "kiss lips"
-Jimi Hendrix card, concert used guitar pick
-Monica Lewinsky card, blue dress insert (insert jokes)
-Wrigley Field (or any field) card with actual dirt placed in card
-George Lucas rip card with an actual piece of film from the original Star Wars movie inside
-NASA relic card with real moon dust
-Lewis & Clark rip card with a Sacagawea signature insert #'d 1/1
-John Hancock original signature cut
-California card with gold flake insert from the 1849 gold rush
-Wright Bros. first flight relic card with a real piece of the canvas from their first plane
-Field of Dreams card made of real corn husks

What others can you think of? What would be the ultimate collector card?

King Tut card, with a piece of pyramid or his mummy wrappings
Card of Homer, with pieces of the original Iliad and Odyssey
Ramses II card, with a piece of battle gear
Hammurabi card, with pieces of his law code
Now THOSE would be rare

They actually tried game-used dirt. If you want, you can search on eBay. The cards are close to worthless, though for several reasons, not least among them being a calcium chloride-based hardening agent that calcified the dirt.

The Last Supper card, with bread crumb
The Adam & Eve card, with pieces of fig leaf and apple
The 3 Famous Walls card, with pieces of the Great Wall of China, the Berlin Wall, and The Green Monster

"the Berlin Wall"

I actually have a piece of that thing. Not a fleck of dust either, a one-pound chunk with some spray-paint on it. My Dad's birthday is November 9, the same day the wall came down. Well, Dad's a big history buff and happened to be in Germany at the time, so he got himself a unique birthday gift...free, too. Just picked it up out of the rubble pile. Dad later chiseled off a piece for a family that once lived in East Berlin when they immigrated here, so it's about half its original size, but it makes an awesome paperweight.

HAHA I love the King Tut and Last Super cards!

How bout the:
Caveman card, real arrowhead or pottery shard insert
Scorates card, speech-used toga thread
Jesus card, frankensense, gold, and mur
Al Capone signature cut
Barney Fife card, single bullet relic #'d 1/1

"single bullet relic"

I got an idea...Jerry Miculek, Tom Napp, or Doug Koenig (all competitive shooters) match-used target/shotshell/cartridge case shard cards. ;)

I think it was Topps who put out the American Pie series which had cards with pieces of a dress she wore, and of a jacket worn by Elvis.

Some of the suggestions being made are, of course, things that would be unthinkable to mutilate and put into cards. Of course, we were thinking the same thing about Babe Ruth and Shoeless Joe bats, Honus Wagner jersey, etc, etc.

So my suggestion: cards featuring pieces of the Declaration of Independence.:)

BTW - probably the ultimate real baseball card was the gatefold that had cut signatures of the first five HOFers.

hahaha the Declaration of Independance card would be awsome especially if it had the piece where John Hancock or Benjamin Franklin signed! The Honus Wagner/Ty Cobb game-used bat card would be great. Also the Cy Young/Walter Johnson game-used jersey card would cause a riot for sure.

Why don't one of you creative types make a card set of all of the regulars on this board (complete with some collection stats on the back)?

I am surprised people haven't made CICs of themselves already...
