Just throwin this out there.
I wouldn't mind more sticky's on the big discussion pieces like PCR, Yeager, Tip N Rip....etc. I think it would be easier to access things for memory purposes if we had official big discussions on the main points.
Like the pro's and con's, examples, good descriptions, so on and so forth.
Thoughts?

I agree. It could be easier to filter the positives and the negative of each philosophy if we kept them seperated rather than let them get lost in a 200 post thread that had everyone participating been in a room together in person, the majority of us would be in jail for the night.

I agree. Too many promising threads get sidetracked.
Having "This is "THIS"" threads would be great for full understanding and ease of access of things.

Give me the concensus on one and we'll try it.

For someone like myself, as a coach who is still learning everything, I think that would be a great idea.
I won't have to sift through all the debating and can get right down to the teachings themselves.
I say go for it!!!

Here's the problem with what you suggest... and I am not saying it's a bad idea. These discussions usually start Ok and then the zealot in us all surfaces quickly. What would be better is forumers posting direct information, opinions from the guys who have performed the work and research i.e. Nyman, Englishbey, Yeager, etc...
We take what these learned men have done and tweak it based on our own understanding of their work and it usually becomes, especially when combined with other tweaked ideas, a mess.

agreed. This is why it can only be looked at as a potentially good idea.Maybe the moderator, if possible, should delete any posts that get off topic. If someone is saying this teacher is wrong, even if it is an attack or not, should be deleted. Delete all posts where one guy is calling another guy an idiot. I believe that this will be the only remedy. If this does happen, maybe we should have a miscellaneous hitting mechanic thread. I could see these threads going on for a long time.

This could easily become a full-time job...

Well if you need help.....:)
I was gonna address that, and I think that if we make the rules very, very clear at the beginning it could help.

maybe we could get some people who are biased and will not get sucked into the bickering and squabbling like cosmo and I. i do agree with ground rules. it worked for the pics and video thread. how about we get started on those rules:
1. No philosophy and principle bashing
2. Only ask questions that relate to that system.
3. If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything.
Thats all I have for now.

I like the way you think Breeves. I think once one or two get rolling, things will take care of themselves.
Edit- Vote for making the Wood Bat thread a sticky. That one is chock full of great info. I'd like to see something like that.

There should be a sticky like this.... this is just a random example...
Yeager sticky:
General theory... Chris Yeager believes in lead arm extension and....
You get the yeager followers to write only good things about them and only them (no bantering other views).
Then PCR Englishbey and/ or nyman
then HI, second engine, etc...
Make sense? Just a general principle about some terms... like what is tip and rip? Or what does pcr mean? Or what is lead arm extension? I would also be willing to help w/ this jake.
