What, in your opinion, was the best baseball card set released in 2007?

Allen & Ginter hands down!

Yes, the retro sets are definitely awesome. I agree about Allen & Ginter. For second place I'd probably pick the Goudey set. This retro trend isn't so bad. A lot better than the other trends that have been through the card industry in the past few years.

The Goudey set is really great, even though they look more like Diamond Stars with those backgrounds. Really like the fact they made them the same size as the originals.

Gotta give props to both Topps and Upper Deck for producing great looking base sets though. Both sets are good designs with great photography, good quality printing, and good designs. This is what is important to me in a set.

I have to agree too that the Allen & Ginter set was the best; and most expensive. I'll have to put the 2007 Bowman Heritage set as runner-up.

I loved this years cards. My favorite was UD Masterpieces and Allen & Ginters

I usually only can ever buy the cheaper base sets, and I have to give the nod to Upper Deck for first and Fleer for second this year.

Gotta go with 2007 Bowman Chrome and 2007 Bowman Draft, tied. However, I think I'll throw in a good word for Bowman Heritage, too. It made a lot of the guys who were unavailable in Chrome (the autographs) affordable.
