What are your opinions? I don't like them at all. Seems no sense to make them sleeveless with the white piping. Why not just have a black jersey with sleeves?:confused:

Me neither. I think they are ugly as ugly can be.
A white vest with black under shirt would be nice. But like you said, this makes no sense.

I'm sure I've mentioned this numerous times on this site, but I'm not a huge fan of sleeveless jerseys. I didn't mind the Reds attempt when they changed to it a while back, but other than that nothing really takes my fancy.
In my opinion, the Rockies black on black is the biggest waste of a design. If the jersey was any other colour, the black sleeves wouldn't be so pointless but as mentioned in the first post, they might as well have just a plain black jersey. At leasy then the Majestic logo wouldn't be all the way up on the shoulder.

I never have liked the sleeveless jerseys and it isn't because of looks. It's because it cost the team a few HBP each year. Just look at how many times during the year you see a batter get a painless trip to 1st by getting their sleeve brushed by a pitch. Any way you can get on base is way to valuable compared to a fashion statement.

That's a very interesting perspective. Overall, I am not really a fan of sleeveless jerseys either. They can look good, but from the merchandise perspective, as a fan you really have to wear the same color undershirt that the players wear, or it can look silly.

Sleeveless jerseys are stupid and serve no point whatsoever. These type of jerseys are simply not worth keeping. :yawn:

I've never liked the black sleeveless jerseys either. The black on black sleeveless look is just pointless. And there is a big lack of purple on those black vests. Purple is what makes the Rockies' uniforms so distinctive from other teams. Their road grays look awesome with the purple pinstripes and the purple lettering. Are they still wearing their purple alternate jerseys this year? I was shopping on the MLB site, and I noticed that the only authentic purple jerseys they had came with the 2007 World Series patch. The other jersey styles could be purchased with or without the patch. Does this mean that they've dropped the purple jersey for 2008? I haven't seen them wear them yet...
