From MLB Rumors:

Minnesota has initiated talks for a three-way blockbuster with the Twins and A's. Here's how it would go down:

Mets send Jose Reyes, Kevin Mulvey, and Hector Pellot to A's
A's send Bobby Crosby and Dan Johnson to Mets
A's send Dan Haren to Twins
Twins send Johan Santana to Mets

Mets get Johan Santana, Bobby Crosby and Dan Johnson
A's get Jose Reyes and Kevin Mulvey
Twins get Dan Haren and Hector Pellot

That's pretty crazy if it works out. I thought only the NBA could pull off three-team, seven player trades.

Got to love these articles based off "The source said...." Another random blogger doesn't count as a source.

Well, it's Billy Beane...he usually ends up butting his nose into someone else's deal.

If only Crosby were good!

Why don't they send Church to Minnesota?

That's not happening.

It's MLB Rumors

If you actually followed mlbtraderumors.com, you'd know that it's not just another random blogger. Dierkes uses only actual articles from all over the country, and his own inside sources that have proved to be pretty good in the past (he says his source is at the Winter Meetings).

Just because it's a rumor doesn't mean it isnt true, Metfan. And just because it doesnt happen doesn't mean it wasn't talked about.

Maybe its true, maybe it's not, but he has good sources.

Chances are this was brought up casually amongst the GMs at the winter meetings, and will not really go down.

Credible source, still far from happening. Then again, some talking heads shot down the idea that the Marlins would trade Cabrera and Willis in the same deal, and that is just what happened.

that looks terrible for the twins

Unless Omar Minaya changes his tune, both Jose Reyes and David Wright are untouchable.

that looks terrible for the twinsI'd agree. The Twins aren't gonna deal Santana unless they are the clear winners in the deal (as was stated above).

Very intriguing to say the least!

As much as I LOVE Reyes, I would take a long hard look at that deal!

This is a very good deal for everyone.

But I heard Minaya's press confrence staying Reyes won't be traded.

I was actually surprised that we havent heard more rumors of bringing a third team in to the deal instead of one team dealing their top 3 prospects.

This seems like a pretty decent deal from the A's perspective, but I give it about a 3% chance of happening.

This article at MLB.com pretty much nixes the whole idea:

HAHAHAHAHA...ok, they hooked a couple people.

Rumors are to get interest in baseball when football take sall their glory in the winter...99% of them lead to nothing.
