Gehrig had more than a dozen nicknames. With how many can we come up ?
I´ll start off with two lesser known: "Two Gun Lou" and "Ol´ Rawhide" (he once starred in western called "Rawhide").

Obviously, he was known as the Iron Horse. Another one was Larrupin' Lou.

As a Dodger fan you should know that the original Sweet Lou was Lou Johnson who played for the Bums in the 1960's. How he acquired his nickname I'm not sure. About the only odd thing I remember about him is that half his ear was sliced off in a knife fight as a kid, and since that happened before reattachment was possible the surgeons cut a pocket in his belly skin and stuck the severed part inside to keep it alive until the technology caught up with it. I don't know if anything was ever done with it.

I hope it's been fixed. It looks kind of freaky.
