What is unique about these players? This is not a complete list, but these were the easiest to find.

Albert Belle
Tom Brunansky
Henry Rodriguez
Barry Bonds
Steve Brodie
Rod Carew
Bert Blyleven
Clark Griffith

I'll give hints if nobody figures it out.

I think I figured it out, but I won't give away the answer. I'll just add a few names.

Wes Parker
Brian Kingman
Dave Parker

Am I right, Truman? :)

Not sure. Dave Parker would be on my list, but I can't figure out Wes Parker or Brian Kingman. Bill Krueger and Wiley Piatt make more sense to me.

I think you've got half of it. I guess Mr. Benners works, but its not as good an example as the others. Why Barry Bonds and not Bobby? Why Bill Krueger and not Brian Kingman?

Isn't "players whose initials are baseball stat abbreviations" the right answer?
Albert Belle = AB
Tom Brunansky = TB
Henry Rodriguez = HR
Barry Bonds = BB
Steve Brodie = SB
Rod Carew = RC (runs created?)
Bert Blyleven = BB
Clark Griffith = CG

Wes Parker = WP (wild pitch)
Brian Kingman = BK (balk)
Dave Parker = DP (double play)
Isaac B. Benners = IBB (intentional base on balls)

All I know is that if these guys are not similar in a unique fashion then they are similar in hundreds of ways. I'm just not very good at these types of questions.

I struggled for the best way to phrase the thread title/question and make sense without giving away too much. I admit, its pretty vague.

Is it players whose initials are baseball stat abbreviations and led their team in that stat? For example, Bert Blyleven = BB, and he led his team in bases on balls. Clark Griffith = CG, and he led his team in complete games.

It is very likely that this is true. However, I was thinking of something a little more exclusive. (I hope I didn't make a mistake in my list and overlook someone.)

How about players whose initials are baseball stat abbreviations and are the all-time single season leader in that stat for a team?

Nope. That's only true for some of them.

Edit: I misread what you wrote. It may be true, haven't checked, but not what I'm looking for.

There's no reason I can't wear out mlb.com stats, some of which they haven't tracked until recently

Offensively, Alex Ochoa (probable true leader Al Oliver)
Offensively, I'm guessing Greg "one g" Olson
Offensively, Neifi Perez

Defensively, Akinori Otsuka (probable true leader Antonio Osuna)
Defensively. Garrett or Gregg "two g" Olson
Defensively, Nels Potter, Norman Phillips, or Norman Plitt
Defensively, Paul Abbott, Paul Assenmacher, or Pedro Astacio
Paul Kilgus may have no competition
