2008 Roadtrips

The 2005 thread popped up and so it only seemed right to start a thread about roadtrips we're planning for next year.

My wife and I are planning on visiting the new Nationals park in DC and Camden Yards in Baltimore sometime in the spring.

My brother and I are planning a trip to NYC to say goodbye to Shea and tour Yankee Stadium before they are gone.

Anyone else?

I'm planning to make it to Nationals Park sometime in the spring, and maybe new Busch this summer. That would make it 25 out of 30, because RFK is closing

hey maybe i will see you in dc & baltimore, that is when i am planning on going as well, sometime in late april / may. i can't wait until the schedules for the nats & o's come out so i can book my rooms. would make it 20/30 for me

My girlfriend and I plan on going down to Memphis in June to catch a couple of games at AutoZone Park. She went last summer with her parents and I was jealous.

We also might take a weekend trip across the state and catch a game or two in Kansas City. I also want to check out the Negro League Hall of Fame. I heard that they aren't getting the volume of visitors that they need and that it might shut down.

Some summer I would also like to take a trip up to Milwaukee.

i have been putting togehter their schedules as the others come out, so i almost have the whole thing, but the eastern divisions are the slowest to release their schedules and that fills most of the nat's & o's schedules

I'm a Rockies fan living in Fort Worth, Texas. The Rox will be in Houston the weekend of April 19 & 20th (according to the tentative schedule on the Astros website), and we plan on being there for that. I'd still like to get to a ballpark I've never been to (Busch Stadium III would be the closest to me), but we'll have to see what kind of vacation we can afford. I spent way too much money taking my 8 year old to Game 3 of the World Series up in Denver last week...

I have a feeling every game is gonna wind up being a sellout, and it's gonna be so hard to get tickets. That's why I'm gonna go camp outside Yankee Stadium the day before tickets go on sale.
