On Curt's blog he listed 13 teams that he would like to come to and one of them was the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The big issue here... money. The D-backs budget is set for 75 million next season and they are currently at a 70 million payroll. Now of course we can free up some salary space via trade but this still seems unlikely.

He is supposedly demanding 10 million for one year, he will have to take a discount of like 7 million for one year in order to play here.

I don't know if I would like this, part of me would love to seem him in a backs uniform again but another part of me does not want to see us fork out all this money for one year and him end up getting hurt or something.

This reminds me, were still paying Russ Ortiz :noidea

As a Red Sox fan I'm still hoping he plays for the Red Sox, but as a Dbacks fan (I'm fans of both teams) I wouldn't mind seeing him finish his career in AZ. But as you mentioned he will want at least 10 million, and last I heard he was asking for 13 million from the Sox, so unless he takes a big paycut I doubt well see him in a Dbacks uniform.

When I think Curt Schilling, I think Dimondbacks from the older days, purple uniforms, Randy Johnson, and Matt Williams.

Still a possibility if he can't pitch at all this year but I don't think the D-Backs would go for him. They already have a solid cadre of pitchers, plus Randy Johnson as their duty veteran. Aren't they still in debt from their 2001 run?

Not a chance. From the sounds of it, Schill can barely pick up a baseball, let alone throw one. I can see how he's line from his rehab start would look: 2.1 IP, 9 hits, 7ER, 4 BB, 1 K. He just sounds so unhealthy right now.
