I'm sitting here watching the celebration at Coors Field, and it's still frustrating me who "The Toy Cannon" is. He played for the Astros in the 60's didn't he?

And if we're combining sports the Brat could be John McEnroe

Well, that's a different Animal...a much hairier one, except on his head!
My guy pitched in the majors in the '80s and then went to play in Japan for a while, where he was known as Animal-san. After his playing career, he was part of the wacky game show Takeshi's Castle.
